DESCRIPTION: Did you know that LAYA blends our supplements, teas, and offers our signature products right in our new Afro Mercantile shop at our new headquarters in Kansas City, MO? You can join our team as we are looking for an experienced & result-driven Sales Associate to work in our Spa/Mercantile to boost sales and awareness of our brand and house-made products, and to be responsible for all sales job duties, from generating leads to closing sales.
EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Associate duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. You should also be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Sales Associate, you should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards.
QUALIFICATIONS: Strong communication of the benefits of LAYA’s products and services in order to drive sales. Our ideal SA has experience serving as the point of contact between a business and its prospects or clients. You will need to have experience in identifying and educating prospective customers while supporting existing clients with information and assistance that relates to products and services. Qualifications often include strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a Bachelor's degree in business or related fields. Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements are a must. Having a track record of over-achieving sales quota, hands-on experience with POS transactions, familiarity with inventory procedures, solid communication and interpersonal skills, a friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus, ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner, and availability to work flexible shifts are all requirements of this position. You can join our team as we are looking for an experienced Barista to work in our Herbal Tea Bar to educate Coffee & Tea enthusiasts about the benefits of incorporating healing herbal drinks into their regular wellness routine. You will assist tea drinkers in choosing the best herbal teas to support their overall wellness through a new way of consuming their daily herbs. The ideal Barista is a health conscious individual that exudes self-love and spreads joy & knowledge to all.
EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Promotes herbal tea consumption by educating customers; selling tea, accessories, and supplies; preparing and serving a variety of tea drinks, along with herbal & plant-based fare. Welcomes customers by determining their wellness interests and needs. Educates customers by presenting and explaining the drink menu; answering questions. Sells teas and tea accessories by explaining differences in herbal ingredients and preparation. Prepares and sells tea drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for tea drinks, tea shakes, coffee alternatives, etc. Generates revenues by attracting new customers; defining new and expanded services and products. Maintains inventories by replenishing tea supply; stocking brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and grab-n-go items for tea bar. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations. Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and tea bar. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading herbal, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks. Our ideal Barista must have prior experience in a café or coffee/tea. Must have experience and familiarity with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software. DESCRIPTION: Did you know that LAYA has expanded to include a Mercantile, holistic wellness shop, natural wellness central, and herbal tea bar at our new headquarters in Kansas City, MO? You can join our team as we are looking for an experienced Massage Therapist with a passion for and knowledge of natural (chemical-free) lifestyle wellness. Our massage therapist is responsible for treating clients through their healing process with soft tissue manipulation, while maintaining a safe and relaxing experience. The therapist should be good at perceiving client wishes and needs through spoken language, body language and other cues and modifying their treatments accordingly.
EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide 30-120 minute massages to clients by appointment in our new facility, while guiding clients through their wellness journey. Therapists will suggest service offerings and determine which treatments would benefit them most. Because we are more than just a Spa, the therapist is responsible for gaining an understanding of our core values so that they can promote true healing through our many modalities and products. This requires taking extensive notes and listening to clients’ needs and health conditions. They will evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body, advise clients on stretching, strengthening or relaxation methods. They will also work to build a treatment plan with regular appointments and additional modalities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must understand or want to live a holistic lifestyle. Understanding and performing energy work is a bonus. Our therapist must have an outgoing, friendly attitude, but be assertive in creating a wellness plan for your clients. You can join our team as we are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for and knowledge of natural (chemical-free) lifestyle wellness. Our Wellness Technician can adapt to front & back of the house operations, is great with people, learns quickly, is a problem solver and lives a wellness lifestyle. Bonus if you have trained Herbal experience, stocking experience, and/or Spa Experience.
EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Our new Wellness Tech will perform signature services in order to best serve the clients’ ongoing wellness journey. They will make recommendations for additional wellness modalities as needed and be proficient in product knowledge. They will serve as the Wellness Liaison in the Mercantile and package orders for pickup and shipping. The Wellness Tech will also be responsible for mixing, bottling, and other prep work.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must understand or want to live a holistic lifestyle. Understanding Herbal Wellness is a bonus. Our Wellness Tech must have an outgoing, friendly attitude, but be assertive in creating a wellness plan for your clients especially when it comes to supplements.
