The Master Herb List for Digestive Health

From a Holistic point of view Digestive Health is directly linked to the Solar Plexus, presiding energy center for digestive organs, stomach, pancreas, liver, gall bladder, spleen, and adrenal glands. Common manifestations of dis-ease include ulcers, diabetes, cancer, liver, stomach, and gall bladder disorders, and skin disorders.

Individuals with Digestive disorders such as IBD (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) must make sure that they are getting important nutrients such as:

  • Essential Fatty Acids

  • L-glutamine

  • B complex

  • Fiber

  • Free form Amino Acids

  • Mineral complex

  • Pancreatin

  • Quercetin

  • Calcium

  • Magnesium

It is always wise to treat the liver as well as the digestive tract. Below you will find a list of important herbs that naturally contain these nutrients, as well as medicinal properties to support the digestive system. If you are a member of Laya’s The Freedom Haus, login to see the actions and uses of these herbs. However, you may want to contact a trained herbalist whenever using any of these herbs, especially when blending. You may notice that the Doctrine of Signatures significantly plays out here in this list. The corresponding energy center, Solar Plexus, represents the color yellow and this list contains many yellow stem, flower, or root plants.

Yellow Dock

Burdock Root

Cinnamon

Yarrow

Chamomile

Uva Ursi

Buchu

This list is not exhaustive of the herbs used for Digestive issues, those lists will be published in our Member platform. As we continue to work through digestive complications this month and evoke the energy of Oshun and the Solar plexus, it is recommended that you engage in some sort of a detox. Spring Equinox is the point of renewal in our bodies as it is in our atmosphere.
